What we collect when you use this site, why, and what you can ask us to do about it.
What we collect
Only what you give us, and the little a website cannot avoid:
- Enquiries and test-drive requests: your name, telephone number, email address, and whatever you tell us about the car you are interested in.
- Owner’s Room members: the account your advisor set up, the cars you add to your garage, and the requests you send us.
- Boutique orders: your delivery and billing details, handled by WooCommerce so we can get the order to you.
- Ordinary technical data: your browser type, approximate location from your IP address, and which pages you visited, so we know what is worth improving.
Why we hold it
To answer you, to prepare and service your car, to send an order, and to keep the records a motor dealer is required to keep. We do not sell your details, and we do not pass them to anyone outside Al Wajba Motors except where a marque or a shipping company needs them to complete something you asked for.
Marketing
We write to you about a car or an event only if you have asked us to, or if you are an owner and it concerns your own car. Every message has a way out of it, and asking us to stop is enough; you do not have to explain.
How long
Enquiries are kept for two years. Owner and service records are kept for as long as you own the car and for the period Qatari law requires afterwards. Order records are kept for seven years for accounting.
Cookies
This site sets cookies to keep your basket, to keep you signed in to the Owner’s Room, and to measure how the site is used. Your browser can refuse them; the shop and the Owner’s Room will not work properly if it does.
What you can ask for
A copy of what we hold, a correction, or deletion. Write to info@alwajbamotors.com or speak to your advisor, and we will come back to you within thirty days.
