The Torcal’s sound was played by musicians on real instruments (drums, viola and bass guitar), and like an engine it responds to the driver’s right foot.
When the team studied a Bentley V8 in the studio, they found that what moves people is rhythm, with the small irregularities of a human drummer. The Torcal’s sound is written to make you feel the way an engine does, without imitating one.
